Ferghana Regional Museum
The Fergana Regional Museum is one of the oldest museums in Uzbekistan. There are such exhibitions in the museum as pripod, archeology, Ferghana region in the structure of Russian Empire, the history of Fergana city until 1917, the Fergana region for the period of independence, ethnography. The exposition of the history of the city of Fergana shows the construction process of he city, its location, first industrial and trade enterprises, gymnasiums, schools and public health services, the first organized cultural events in the city. The exposition presents unique exhibits reflecting the history of the city. These are: a grand furniture set, the attributes of the administrative cabinet, national clothes and household utensils of the XIX century. The separate theme of the exhibition is sports, education, medicine, culture - in the years of independence. In addtition, each visitor can witness how the sport was developed in the region. There are photos of our outstanding sportsmen-champions on the stands of the museum. Moreover, there are photos of Olympic athletes who participated in the Olympics in Brazil and defended the honor of our Motherland. The exhibition is finalized with interesting materials on the development and revival of folk traditions and craftsmanship, including unique works of the best craftsmen, chasers, ceramists, silkworms.
Museum artifacts: The unique collection of the archeology fund. Their chronology reveals all periods of the history of Fergana from the era of the Stone Age to the developed Middle Ages. These items from the excavations of Aktam, Sufansky, Kungai and other burial grounds (tools of the Stone Age, clay, bronze and glass objects.)
