In 1983, the Bukhara Museum was awarded the status of a state museum-reserve. At present, there are more than 25 thousand exhibits in the collections of the museum-reserve. On the composition of the museum - reserve there are 18 expositions and exhibitions. 13 of them are on architectural monuments such as the Residence of Bukharian rulers-Ark, Sitorai Mohi-Hossa - the summer palace of the last rulers of Bukhara, the house of the rich merchant Ubaidulla Khoja, the mausoleum of Chashmai Ayub, Magoki Attor mosque, the Khanaka Nadira Divanbegi, the memorial complex of Bagauddin Naqshbandi, Kulita caravanserai, madrasah Kukeldash, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan, which are masterpieces of the ancient architecture of Bukhara.
