Best Areas to Stay in Tashkent

Amir Temur Square

Amir Temur Square

Amir Temur Square is located in the very center of Tashkent and is surrounded by monuments such as the Amir Temur statue, Museum of the Timurids, and Broadway Alley.

Despite being in the center, this area is not overcrowded and offers tourists a peaceful place to stay, close to a number of museums and parks.

Popular Restaurant in Mirabad

Mirabad District

Mirabad is the trendiest area of Tashkent. Located near Tashkent North train station, it's the perfect location for onward train travel.

It has fewer tourist attractions but plenty of modern restaurants. Mirabad is one of the best areas to stay in Tashkent due to the large number of hotels for all budgets.

Navoi Theater

Navoi Theater Square

The cosy area around Navoi Theater includes parks and restaurants and is also very central. The canal, Independence Square, Memorial Square and many other landmarks are within walking distance from here.

It's a great spot for short stay tourists as it's close to Kosmonavtlar and Oybek metro stations for easy transport.

Chorsu Bazaar

Chorsu Bazaar Area

Chorsu bazaar is situated in Tashkent's old city known as 'Eski Shahar'. This area is a more traditional part of the city and is also home to the Hazrati Imam complex for cultural tourism.

It's a quieter area with fewer restaurants but there are some excellent affordable hotels in this area.

Tashkent City Park from Above

Tashkent City Park & Mall

This area includes Tashkent City Park and the newly opened Tashkent City Mall and is the best place to stay for shopping.

It's also a great spot for families as it is close to popular places for kids like Magic City and Alisher Navoi park.

North Tashkent

The Northern part of Tashkent is a less popular place to stay but includes many landmarks such as Tashkent tower, the Plov Center, Japanese Garden and Memorial to the Victims of Repression.

There are fewer hotels here but some excellent choices still exist.
